X was a Finnish zine of bizarre comics put out in the early '90s by Läjä Äijälä, also known as the frontman of Finland's original hardcore punk band Terveet Kädet. Äijälä's over the top comics take place in a world of S&M, leather and rubber, with a taste of horror and black humor. Betty Page, Elvis, President Urho Kekkonen and Johann Sebastian Bach all take part in a twisted, dark, unsensored underground. X wasn't published for long, but it quickly gained popularity in England and took the tagline "Best Finnish Bizarre Comix." This album collects Äijälä's comics in one edition, in Finnish with English subtitles.
