Máret Ánne Sara's novel is an adventure with one foot in the modern north and the other in the sphere of Sámi legends. Lemme and Sanne are Sámi teenagers in a modern reindeer herding family. Their love of motocross puts them at odds with their parents when plans are drawn up for a new motocross track, endangering the reindeer's grazing lands. Lemme and Sanne decide to run away, but they find themselves in the world of the Sámi ulddat - the underworld people. While the search is on for the missing teenagers in the human world, a struggle for survival is underway in the underworld.
